Community, Sustainability & Good Vibes

People and planet are interlinked, with businesses impacting the wellbeing of both. In order to share in a prosperous future, we focus on environmental sustainability as well as sustainable employment practices and bathhouse accessibility.

What are Sauna House Asheville's hours?

Sauna House Asheville is currently open Fridays - Mondays from 9am to 10pm.

Why is Sauna House phone-free?

The research is unanimous: too much screen time is bad for our health. Our bathhouse is phone-free so you can disconnect from screens to reconnect with your body in an intentional space. Embrace rest, reduce stress, and reclaim some freedom from your devices. Your brain will thank you.

We’re all about a quick selfie moment, but otherwise, please leave your phone in your locker during your visit.

Where do I park?

Sauna House Asheville has parking at the back of the building. There are a number of spots available. There is also parking on both sides of the street on Short Coxe Ave.

Is there an age limit?

Yes. There is an age limit designed to allow for an ideal hot-hold-relax environment. 18 and up, or 14 and older if accompanied by a legal guardian.

Am I pre-paying when I book?

Nope! We just hold your card info to secure your appointment, you won't be charged until checkout.

What is good bathhouse etiquette?

Bathing suits are required. All guests must shower using soap before entering the facility to ensure the cleanest environment for all. All guests must sit on a sauna towel in sauna and rinse prior to their cold plunge. Ask your fellow bathers before adding steam to the sauna. Respect the space and the community. You can find our complete list of house rules here.

How do I use the bathhouse?

We call our bathing routine the Hot Cold Relax circuit. It begins with up to 15 minutes in the sauna, followed by a refreshing cold shower to rinse off any sweat before entering the cold plunge, where you can stay for up to 3 minutes. Afterward, unwind and rehydrate in our lounge for 10-15 minutes before starting the cycle again. These steps are simply recommendations; we encourage guests to follow their own pace and do what feels most comfortable.

Before beginning your bathhouse experience, please take a quick shower to remove any lotions, oils, fragrances, or other residues. This helps protect the sauna's wood and keeps the environment clean for everyone. Our showers are also available for your use after your session.

What's included in our 2-hour bathhouse visit?

You’ll have access to our showers and locker room, cold shower, cold plunge, traditional cedar sauna, aspen wood wet sauna, lounge areas and heated benches. The infrared sauna is a separate booking, not included in the bathhouse visit.
