Frequently asked questions about visiting the bathhouse in Asheville, NC.

Our bathhouse is located at 230 Short Coxe Avenue in Asheville, North Carolina.

The front of Sauna House is on Short Coxe Ave, you can park on the street, or behind the building. When facing the back of our building please park in the large gravel lot to the left. There are Sauna House parking signs.


Please bring a swimsuit!


A lock, if you want to secure your locker.

An extra towel! You will be provided with one, but if you think you will need an extra, bring it from home or rent one from us for $3.

A water bottle (no glass please!) - We do have compostable cups on site and a water filling station.

A robe! We no longer provide robes, but you are always welcome to bring one with you to add to your experience.

Indoor sandals/shoes to walk around in. We do have bathhouse sandals upon request as well.

Nope! We accept both reservations and walk-ins!
However, reservations are suggested for the private amenities or to guarantee a specific appointment time. Walk-in availability is based on capacity limits and cannot be guaranteed.

Nope! We just hold your card info to secure your appointment, you won't be charged until checkout.

Our bathhouse passes were designed to create a hot/cold/relax weekly routine. We love to see you more often and we love to save you some money! Passes are stored on individual guest profiles and cannot be shared.

Or 14 and older if accompanied by a legal guardian.

Bathhouse Questions

Bathhouses are communal spaces where historically people came together to cleanse the body and mind in a social but chill environment.

You can expect that here at Sauna House, but we also made our downstairs sauna a silent sauna for a quieter vibe.

You’ll have access to our showers and locker room, cold shower, cold plunge, traditional cedar sauna, aspen wood wet sauna, lounge areas and heated benches. The infrared sauna is a separate booking, not included in the bathhouse visit.

Bathing suits for all here at Sauna House!

All guests must shower using soap before entering the facility to ensure the cleanest environment for all.

All guests must sit on a sauna towel in sauna and rinse prior to their cold plunge.

We keep the aspen wood wet sauna at 180 degrees and allow water to be added to the rocks.

The cedar sauna stays around 185 degrees and water can be added to these rocks as well.

The cold showers are 60 degrees and the cold plunge upstairs is 49 degrees and the cold plunge downstairs next to the cedar sauna is 48.

We suggest a circuit that starts off with a hot shower. (We require all guests shower before entry.)

After the hot shower hit the wet sauna upstairs, followed by a cold shower to rinse off before going into the cold plunge.

After the cold plunge hang out and rehydrate in the heated benches for 10 -15 minutes before repeating the process. We recommend heading downstairs to check out the cedar sauna if you begin your circuit upstairs.

Of course these our simply guidelines! We encourage guests to move at their own pace and do what feels best for them.

Gift Cards & Cancellations

Sauna House is not responsible for lost, stolen or unauthorized use of gift cards. Sauna House gift cards are not redeemable or refundable for cash or credit except where required by law. 

Book your appointment online, our software will ask for a credit card to hold the appointment, but you will not be charged at this time.

Please bring the gift card, email confirmation, or the gift card # so our team can redeem the day of your appointment at checkout!

Please be mindful that within 24 hours, we cannot cancel or reschedule your reservations.

No shows will be charged in full.

Should you need to reschedule or cancel your reservation please find your booking confirmation email and follow steps to cancel.

If you are unable to do that, please contact us.

Search your inbox for the email confirmation we sent you, open it and scroll down to where it says, “To reschedule or cancel your appointment, please login to the booking site here!"

Shipping policy

As of right now, we ship anywhere in the U.S.

We aim to have your order in the mail within 1-2 business days.
