2 TRADITIONAL WET SAUNAS
The public bathhouse has 2 saunas to choose from: the upstairs aspen wet sauna which runs at around 175-193°F with 5-25% humidity, or the downstairs silent cedar sauna, which runs a little cooler. Both saunas are heated with nordic-style rock heaters. Sauna for up to 15 minutes.
Cold rain showers
Rinse off sweat and prepare your body for the cold plunge in the cold showers. Downstairs features a pull-shower.
STAINLESS STEEL COLD PLUNGE
Experience a natural high like no other. The cold plunge runs at around 45°F to 48°F and is # feet deep, so you can choose a partial or full submersion. Cold plunge 1-3 minutes. We encourage you to reclaim your breath with easy deep breaths.
Relax and rehydrate with heated furniture
Letting your body warm back up naturally gives you time to relax and rehydrate, as well as strengthens your metabolism. Enjoy the comfort of our stone cast heated furniture.
Towels, DRINks, AND MORE
Fresh towels are provided for every visit. Our drink menu seasonally rotates, featuring loose leaf teas, kombucha, CBD seltzers, matcha, chai, electrolyte mixes, and more. There’s also a water bottle refill station with filtered water. Bathhouse shoes are available.
Public Locker room
Showers, changing areas, cubbies, and more are available in the locker room for before and after your bathhouse visit. And don’t worry about bringing a wet swimsuit home - we’ve got compostable swimsuit bags on hand.
Custom audio & chromotherapy
Set the perfect vibe for your session. Choose your soundscape: pick a playlist, audio book, podcast, or cue up your favorite meditation. Further set the tone with lighting. Looking for deep relaxation? Try green or violet. Doing some serious grounding? Try red.
Private Sauna Cabins
Sweat it all out in a private traditional wet sauna with rock-heater. Our private saunas are made with sustainable sourced nordic aspen. Add a ladle of water to the sauna rocks for increase humidity and intensity.
Cold showers & private plunge
Rinse off sweat in our downstairs cold rain shower before your brave the plunge. Private Hot-Cold-Relax rooms feature tub-style cold plunges that accommodate 1-2 bathers at a time and run around 45°F to 48°F.
RED LIGHT therapy
Elevate your rest period with red light therapy. Rejuvenate your skin, promote faster muscle recover, and fight inflammation.

Private Infrared cabin
Infrared sauna cabins use infrared light waves to heat your core body temperature directly in a room that's only 135-155°F. Rest assured, you’ll get a similar health boost from the infrared sauna as you would a traditional sauna (which are usually about 185-200°F), achieving the same intense sweat but in a much gentler environment.
FLY SOLO OR BRING A FRIEND
We have one infrared sauna cabin which can be booked for a 1 or 2 person private 45-minute sessions.

The research is unanimous: too much screen time is bad for our health. Our bathhouse is phone-free so you can disconnect from screens to reconnect with your body in an intentional space. Embrace rest, reduce stress, and reclaim some freedom from your devices.
Yes, bathing suits are required when using the bathhouse.
You can use the street parking available on Short Coxe Ave in front of Sauna House or in the gravel lot behind the bathhouse. When facing the back of our building please park in the large gravel lot to the left. There are Sauna House parking signs. Our bathhouse is located at 230 Short Coxe Avenue in Asheville, North Carolina.

Nope! We accept both reservations and walk-ins! However, reservations are suggested for the private amenities or to guarantee a specific appointment time. Walk-in availability is based on capacity limits and cannot be guaranteed.

Please be mindful that within 24 hours, we cannot cancel or reschedule your reservations. No shows will be charged in full. Should you need to reschedule or cancel your reservation please find your booking confirmation email and follow steps to cancel. If you are unable to cancel online, please call us.
Required: Bring a swimsuit. Suggested: A water bottle (no glass please, we have a water bottle refill station and cups available if needed), a hair tie, a lock if you’d like to secure your locker, a robe if you’d like one.
Bathing suits are required. All guests must shower using soap before entering the facility to ensure the cleanest environment for all. All guests must sit on a sauna towel in sauna and rinse prior to their cold plunge. Ask your fellow bathers before adding steam to the sauna. Respect the space and the community. We call our bathing circuit Hot Cold Relax: up to 15 minutes in the sauna, followed by a cold shower to rinse off sweat before entering the cold plunge for up to 3 minutes. Then, relax and rehydrate in the lounge spaces for 10-15 minutes before repeating the process. Of course these are simply guidelines! We encourage guests to move at their own pace and do what feels best for them.
All guests must shower off before starting their bathhouse visit to remove any lotions/oils/fragrances/bodily yuck. This helps preserve the wood of the sauna and ensures a clean environment for all. The showers are also available after your visit.
Book your appointment online, our software will ask for a credit card to hold the appointment, but you will not be charged at this time. Please bring the gift card, email confirmation, or the gift card number so our team can redeem the day of your appointment at checkout!
Our bathhouse passes were designed to help you create a Hot Cold Relax routine. We love to see you more often and we love to save you some money! Passes are stored on individual guest profiles and cannot be shared.
