Sauna House Asheville

The original Sauna House location. When founder Andrew first began searching for a place to bring the concept to life, he stumbled upon a cold, dark warehouse shell. Alongside Laura Evans and Brent Campbell, he set out to transform it into something thoughtfully designed but unpretentious—nice, but not "bougie." Drawing on the expertise of his father, a historic building and preservation specialist, Andrew took on the challenge, losing countless hours of sleep obsessing over every detail and laying the foundation for what Sauna House would become.

Why is Sauna House tech-free?

The research is unanimous: too much screen time is bad for our health. Our bathhouse is phone-free so you can disconnect from screens to reconnect with your body in an intentional space. Embrace rest, reduce stress, and reclaim some freedom from your devices. Your brain will thank you.

We’re all about a quick selfie moment, but otherwise, please leave your phone in your locker during your visit.

Where do I park?

Sauna House Asheville has parking at the back of the building. There is also ample parking along on both sides of Short Coxe Ave.

Is there an age policy?

Yes — Bathhouse access is available to guests 18+, or 14+ with a legal guardian.

Massage services are limited to guests 18+.

Should I tip?

Tipping is optional and always appreciated!

Our team works hard to create a space that’s welcoming, and restorative, and of course—clean.

If we made your day, this is one meaningful way to let us know.

Am I being charged when I book?

Nope! We just require a card to secure your appointment—you won't be charged until checkout at the end of your visit. Memberships and available vouchers will be applied.

What is good bathhouse etiquette?

We're so glad you asked!

Everyone must shower with soap before entering the facility to help us maintain a clean, welcoming environment.

In the sauna, always sit on your towel and ask your fellow bathers before adding steam (löyly). Please be mindful of appropriate conversation.

Be sure to rinse off before every cold plunge, entering and exiting with care.

Be courteous. Respect shared spaces to keep the bathhouse experience exceptional for all.

Do you offer memberships?

Yes—And we'd love to have you as a regular!

Explore our memberships options and find the right fit.

Membership Benefits:
- Passes roll over an extra month, from the month issued
- 15% off Sauna House product line and beverages
- $10 off 2-hour drop-ins for any guest you bring
- 25% off private room bookings

How do I use the bathhouse?

To kick off your bathhouse experience, take a hot shower to remove any lotions, oils, fragrances, or other residues. This helps protect the sauna's wood and keeps the environment clean for everyone.

We call our bathing routine the Hot Cold Relax circuit. It begins with up to 15 minutes in the sauna, followed by a refreshing cold shower to rinse off any sweat before entering the cold plunge, where you can stay for up to 3 minutes. Afterward, unwind and rehydrate in our lounge for 10-15 minutes before starting the cycle again. These steps are simply recommendations; we encourage guests to follow their own pace and do what feels most comfortable.

What's included in our 2-hour bathhouse visit?

You’ll have access to our showers and locker room, cold shower, cold plunge, traditional cedar sauna, aspen wood wet sauna, and lounge areas with Galanter & Jones heated benches.

What do I bring?

You will need a non-sheer bathing suit that provides reasonable coverage.

We provide towels, private changing rooms, and showers with our in-house line of bathing products. Samples of our body oils are available at checkout.

We recommend that bathers bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. No glass in the bathhouse please.

We have flip flops available to borrow, but if you prefer, please bring your own, clean bathhouse footwear.
